Board of Commissioners
Oscoda County Board of Commissioners will hold its 2024 Regular Board of Commissioners Meetings at 10:00 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise posted.
The B.O.C Meetings are open to the public, but encourages the public to join them by teleconference by dialing 989-826-1163 (Pin#353).
The Board of Commissioners Meetings will be held at the Community Center, 305 E 9th Street, Mio, MI 48647 beginning Tuesday, August 27, 2024 until further notice.
Do you have a need but aren’t sure how or where to get help? A new telephone based information service is now available to residents of Oscoda County and it’s called 211. Simply dialing 211 from any touch tone phone will put you in touch with a referral specialist who can help you find community resources to meet your needs. The Board of Commissioners wants the public to be aware of two online tools that can help anyone to evaluate the financial status of our County: The “Municipal Performance Dashboard” and “Municipal Financial Summary”. Notice of Intent for Materials Management Plan
This correspondence serves as notification that on June 28, 2024, Oscoda County filed its notice of intent to prepare a Materials Management Plan (MMP) and has become the County Approval Agency as required per Part 115, Solid Waste Management, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act,1994 PA 451, as amended.
Oscoda County intends to develop the MMP as a multicounty plan with Alpena County, Alcona County, Iosco County, and Montmorency County. Alpena County will serve as the Designated Planning Agency. Please note that all materials management planning committee meetings are open to the public and notices of these meetings will be posted at www.alpenacounty.org and at 720 W Chisholm Street in Alpena.
